weddingfutures charges a 5% commission on all gifts purchased through its services. Does weddingfutures buy the stock for us?weddingfutures provides the services of providing the registry and collecting the funds. The funds are transferred to the couple’s brokerage account to be purchased by the couple’s brokerage firm. Do I have to have a brokerage account to use your service?You can use any bank or brokerage firm. You can provide us your existing bank or brokerage account number or you can set up an account online and provide us with the account number. We provide links to some large financial institutions that will allow you to open an account online. Can I choose the stocks or mutual funds for my own registry?At this time, we only offer pre-selected registries. When do you transfer the gifts to our account?We will transfer the gifts to your account on your wedding day.
You can pay via paypal, Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover. If I’m giving a gift, am I charged any fees?You are not charged for any fees like sales tax, shipping charges, commissions, or any transaction fees. You only pay for the number of securities at the time you complete the transaction. When do you transfer the gifts to the couple’s account?We will transfer the gifts to their account on their wedding day. What if the price of the securities changes after I’ve bought it for the couple? Will I have to pay the difference?No. You only pay for the price of the security at the time you complete the transaction. Can I give them stocks or mutual funds I currently own?We cannot help with transferral of stocks. You should consult your broker for such transactions.
